Man Accused In Miami Double Murder In Court This Week
MIAMI (CBSMiami/AP) — A man accused in the double murder of his ex-wife and stepfather in Miami is scheduled to go before a Miami-Dade judge this week.
U.S. Marshals brought 56-year-old Hugo Quesada from Buenos Aires, Argentina, to Miami last week. Quesada was arrested in Argentina in 2006 and had been fighting extradition ever since. An Argentine court finally approved the extradition in August.
Quesada is charged with the 2003 strangulation deaths of his ex-wife, Maritza Quesada, and her stepfather, Emilio Xiques. Police also say he stabbed his ex-wife's mother, who survived. Authorities say there was a dispute over Quesada's desire to take the couple's children to Argentina.
