Make-Or-Break Matches Have World Cup Fans On Pins & Needles
CORAL GABLES (CBSMiami) - It's game on for fans watching the make-or-break matches for Group A of the World Cup.
"I'm feeling really psyched," said Jimmy Shirley.
Teams will either be advancing to round two or booking their flights home from Brazil.
"So excited for the game and we gonna win, we gotta win this time," Eduardo Serrano, a Mexico fan.
"When you meet someone when you fall in love that's the same thing that you feel inside."
Fans cheered on their teams at Fritz and Franz Bierhaus in Coral Gables Monday.
"Every one's always cheering for their own team really good energy, standing up and shouting," said Ingrid Hentschel.
Host nation Brazil took on already eliminated Cameroon while CBS4's Gaby Fleischman was at the establishment.
Croatia and Mexico are set for a winner-takes-all match.
"Really tough group have Mexico and Croatia two really awesome teams," said Jimmy Shirley.
"Anything can happen, Croatia has been playing really well and Mexico has been playing really good too, really all depends," added Ingrid Hentschel.
Regardless of stats, fans say they know in their hearts, their country will take it all the way.
"Why not, David took Goliath down so we can beat all the teams," Eduardo Serrano.
"So excited, this game is super important for us, we're gonna win," said Diana Montoya. "It would be a dream come true for us."
