Major Traffic Change Coming At SR 826-836
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The SR 826-836 interchange in Miami-Dade County is about to undergo another major lane shift starting Monday morning.
On Sunday, the current eastbound lanes of SR 836, near the Palmetto interchange will close. The eastbound 836 traffic will be pushed to a new eastbound ramp. The bigger change will come from traffic on the Palmetto.
Drivers heading southbound on the Palmetto will be exiting westward onto SR 836 and follow the exit ramp that will take drivers through a large U-turn to end up with drivers heading eastbound on the new ramp on SR 836 East.
The new 836 eastbound ramp will shift back to the mainline of SR 836 just east of NW 72nd Avenue.
In addition, drivers heading north on the Palmetto who want to go west on SR 836 will have to exit onto NW 72nd Avenue from the 836 East on-ramp and then head north on NW 72nd Avenue to the loop that takes drivers back to the west on SR 836 West.
