MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The "running man" challenge has made it all the way to South Florida.
It's a global dance off between law enforcement personnel that was sparked by police in New Zealand, after their videotaped response to the challenge was viewed millions of times on Facebook.
The first local stop, Miami Beach.
"I need these vehicles stopped," a Miami Beach officer says as the music plays and the dancing begins.
MBPD officers most definitely have some moves. Their rhythm showcased on the white sands of South Beach.
The challenge went from the Miami Beach Police Department to Miami Beach Fire Rescue and the City of Miami Police Department.
Both of them accepted the challenge.
Miami Beach Fire's response starred Batman, a martial artist and even the chief.
"How you gonna let Miami Beach challenge us? Communications is ready!" an officer begged Nick, the department's resident vlogger.
And after a little reluctance, Miami police went the extra mile and possibly outdid them all.
The video also featured their chief.
"You know I don't like to get called out!" Chief Rodolfo Llanes said in the video.
They also showcased South Florida's spirit.
