Local Business Joins National RED Movement
FORT LAUDERDALE (CBS4) - It would take a lot to close the doors of a predominant South Florida real estate office, but charity will do it.
On Thursday, volunteers from the Fort Lauderdale Keller Williams Realty office locked their front door and got into the giving spirit, gardening and giving back to their community.
It was all part of a nationwide initiative called RED, which stands for Renew, Energize and Donate.
The volunteers gave their time to "Hope South Florida", an organization which helps the homeless get back on their feet.
"We're making this a pretty place to live, we're landscaping, gardening, filling their pantries, it's a great project," said volunteer Dave Gervase.
