MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Ouija is a game you may have played or have feared. Now, the game is turning into reality in the new movie "Ouija" starring a South Florida actress.

The words yes, no and goodbye are words printed on a classic Ouija board game. They seem innocent but nothing is innocent in the scary film just in time for Halloween.

The supernatural thriller is about a group of friends who must confront their most terrifying fears when they unwittingly make contact with a dark power from the other side while trying to contact their recently departed friend "Debbie" who mysteriously died.

What started as a game will unleash an evil only they can stop.

CBS4's Lisa Petrillo spoke with two of the stars of the film.

Ana Coto, who went to Lourdes Academy in Miami and actress Bianca Santos star in this nail-biter of a film.

"What ends up happening is we make contact with a spirit that isn't Debbie a bit of an evil spirit and
not all of us survive," said Coto.

"It's just a perfect time to watch a scary movie. It's Halloween time. Grab your friends. Grab a date. Have some thrills but not be scared," said Santos.

Ouija is rated pg-13 and opens in theaters Friday.
