MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Welcome to La Tropical - a Balinese style estate smack in the center of Pinecrest.
The two-story home with nine bedrooms and 11 ½ bathrooms sits on two lush acres. The entrance way into the home has mini pools of water surrounded by floating concrete.
Builder Frank Mendez, of Pioneer Inter-Development, was the tour guide for the day. After buying the property in 2014, he began building the home. It's priced for sale at $8.35 million.
"The idea behind this house was Florida tropical living, resort style living bringing the outside in and the inside out," said Mendez.
The home is the epitome of opulent living - a modern space combined with elements of nature.
"This is the Great Room. It has the opportunity to be a living room, a dining room, a great room where you can have parties and the guests have opportunities to go inside and outside," said Mendez.
Turn the corner from The Great Room and there's more space to roam.
"Yet again another living area, a family room open to the back site of the house to the pool and also the front part to the fountain area," said Mendez.
"So you could have parties here for hundreds of people in this house," asked CBS4's Lisa Petrillo.
"Yes, it's set up for hundreds," Mendez said.
If that party gets too over the top, there's a spare or second master bedroom downstairs.
"This is another first floor master. A lot of families nowadays are asking for dual masters: one on the first floor, one on second," said Mendez.
The home has water elements both in front and back. The beautiful backyard infinity edge pool is surrounded by green space.
Back inside and upstairs is the original master suite
"I've heard of sitting areas but this is another living area in the master," said Petrillo while looking at the huge space.
"Yes", Mendez explained. "There is over 1,000 square feet of living area in this master ."
Nothing is more eye-opening than the master bath where everything is over-sized! First, the "his and her" sinks with endless countertop space. Then, a master shower that holds an entire roster of a basketball team!
"You could easily have 12 people showering at same time," said Mendez.
"Okay, there's a party in the shower," laughed Petrillo.
