Little Change In Strength Overnight For Oscar
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Tropical Storm Oscar showed little change in strength overnight as it continued to chug northwest over the far eastern Atlantic Ocean.
At 5 a.m., the center of the storm was located about 1245 miles west-northwest of the Cape Verde Islands. Its maximum sustained winds were 40 mph as it moved to the north-northwest near 9 mph.
There are no watches or warnings associated with this storm.
The National Hurricane Center forecasts that Oscar will take a turn to the north of Thursday followed by a northeastern acceleration Thursday night into Friday.
