LeBron Ready After Physical Game Against Suns
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Miami Heat superstar LeBron James took quite a bit of abuse Tuesday night at the hands of the Phoenix Suns, but he doesn't plan on taking any time off after the extremely physical game.
LeBron said Wednesday that he expects to play when the Heat travel to Detroit to take on the Pistons. LeBron ran into the Suns' Grant Hill and both players ended up on the hardwood. Earlier in the game, LeBron had gone up for a shot and come down hard to the court without a way to brace himself.
James said that he's been better, but that he'll be ready for the Pistons game.
For the Heat, that's the best news they could get ahead of their next game. LeBron has carried the team for much of the year and is the leading candidate to be named the Most Valuable Player in the National Basketball Association.
LeBron has played in every game this season and is averaging 27.2 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 6.6 assists per game. LeBron is also shooting better than 54 percent from the field and hitting on 76 percent of his free throws.
