LeBron Pitches Affordable Care Act In New Commercial
MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Miami Heat superstar LeBron James has worn many hats since joining the team. He's been a villain, a hero, a savior, and a champion. Now you can add health care pitchman to his lengthy resume.
The White House released a new 30-second commercial with King James encouraging Americans to enroll in health care coverage before March 31.
In the spot, LeBron says he understands how important it is to take care of yourself, friends and family. He then pitches the health care marketplace at healthcare.gov, the initially maligned website for the Affordable Care Act.
The spot even has a humorous moment near the end when LeBron says, "you never know when you might take a hit."
Given his recent broken nose, LeBron would certainly know about the need for good health care.
James told Bleacher Report recently that he's not worried about how his endorsement in a political sphere might harm his image.
"What I believe in and the people that I support is what it's all about," James said.
