LeBron Named Player Of The Week
MIAMI (CBS4) - For the 30th time in his career, Miami Heat forward LeBron James has been named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week.
LeBron helped lead the Heat to a 4-0 record last week while averaging 26.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 7.3 assists per game. He also shot 55.2 percent from the field and nearly 81 percent from the foul line.
James' week on the scoring front featured both his best performance of the season and the worst. He scored a season-high 51 against the Orlando Magic, including 23 in the first quarter. On Sunday, he only pumped in 12 points, but in his defense, he was in a rush to get to a Super Bowl party.
For the season, LeBron ranks third in scoring, 12th in assists, and 16th in steals. His 26.1 points per game average is just .7 of a point better than teammate Dwyane Wade.
