CONCORD, N.C. (CBSMiami) -- A video tape that is more than a decade late for return has given a North Carolina man a bad case of renter's remorse.
James Meyers said he was driving his daughter to school earlier this week when a police officer noticed his broken tail light and pulled him over.
After running his information, the officer informed Meyers that he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest stemming from a 2002 movie rental of Tom Green's "Freddy Got Fingered."
He was booked on a misdemeanor charge of failure to return rental property.
But return it where?
Meyers posted on his Facebook page that the video store closed down more than 10 years ago, according to CBS Charlotte, North Carolina affiliate WBTV.
After the arrest, the star of the movie, comedian Tom Green, heard about it and called Meyers, offering to pay the $200 fine, if convicted.
I just saw this and I am struggling to believe it is real. https://t.co/GrTXoUj29X

Meyers said when he answered the phone, Green delivered a classic line from the movie asking, "Daddy, would you like some sausage?"
As if his arrest wasn't enough, Meyers said he nearly died from laughter.
