MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- David Beckham's efforts to bring Major League Soccer to South Florida may be hitting another road block.
According to our news partners at the Miami Herald, Beckham's top Miami negotiator Tim Leiweke said owners of the private land needed for the Miami soccer stadium will, "probably blow this deal up!"
In an interview with the paper, he said negotiations stopped after land owners asked for unreasonable prices.
The land is located across the street from Marlins Park.
If negotiations fall through, he said the group has a back up plan at another undisclosed site. He also added, Beckham's group has not ruled out looking to a different city.
"We do have a backup," Leiweke told the paper. "We will not be held hostage."
