Batman Brings Joy To Kids At Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital
HOLLYWOOD (CBSMiami) – Underneath almost every superhero's costume is an ordinary person who discovered a hidden power that helps others.
One such ordinary guy, Lenny B. Robinson, changes the lives of sick children. This Friday, he will be working his magic at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital in Hollywood.
The Baltimore, Md.-based businessman attracted national attention in March, 2012, when he was pulled over by police for a problem with his plate: the black Lamborghini beared the Batman symbol.
Robinson, dressed head-to-toe as Batman, became an Internet sensation after videos of him made their way online. The 49-year-old has been visiting sick children in Baltimore-area hospitals since 2001, and recently ventured on a year-long nationwide road trip.
This time, he swapped his Lambo for a more Batman-appropriate $300,000 1966 replica Batmobile, to bring his superhero to thousands of sick children in hospitals across the country.
Lenny has already made stops at children's hospitals across the Midwest and the Northeast.
