Killer Of Teenager Lindsey Graham Sentenced 8 Years After Crime
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Nearly eight years after shooting and killing then 17-year-old Lindsey Graham to death in her home; the shooter, Larry Williams, has finally been given his sentence.
Larry Williams, 29, was sentenced to 45 years in prison with 30 years for manslaughter and 15 years for firing into an occupied dwelling.
The judge told Williams that there was no excuse for his actions and he wanted him to think about them every day for the rest of his life.
Victim's mother, Mary Graham Fisher, asked for the maximum penalty. In emotional testimony, she called her daughter a beacon of light. Her death left the family in total devastation.
The shooting happened in early August 2004. According to Miami-Dade Police, Williams was dating Graham before the shooting. Graham broke up with Williams and after she turned him away when he visited her house the night of the shooting, he came back with an AK-47 and opened fire.
Williams shot Graham multiple times from outside the house through her bedroom window.
Eight family members and friends testified Tuesday morning giving impact statements over the loss of Lindsey before the sentence was handed down.
