Kennedy on Wade: Knicks 'a Team to Watch'
Although most don't expect Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat to part ways after 12 seasons of a predominantly fruitful relationship, one team to watch if he decided to leave is the New York Knicks, according to Basketball Insiders' Alex Kennedy.
"I think that New York could be an option, honestly," Kennedy said on the Big O Show. "They really want to turn things around right away. Phil Jackson has said he wants to make this team a winner in the next two to three years so they may go out and try to sign three or four free agents and they have a ton of cap room. With the chance to play with Carmelo Anthony, who is a friend of Dwyane Wade's, they may say let's bring in Dwyane Wade and try to bring in another top free agent.
"I think New York is a team to watch because of their cap space, because of Phil Jackson, because of Carmelo Anthony, but at the end of the day I think he probably stays in Miami. It's hard to imagine a team outbidding Miami and pulling him away from the Heat.
