Bye, Bye Karen
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The National Hurricane Center has issued its last advisory for Karen.
At 11 a.m., the system was about 85 miles southwest of the mouth of the Mississippi River. Karen's maximum sustained were 30 miles per hour as it moved to the east at 13 mph.
The NHC said satellite imagery showed Karen's center was no longer well defined and therefore it was no longer a tropical cyclone.
The remnants of Karen are forecast to move east over the next day or so.
Karen is expected to produce up to three inches of rain over the central Gulf Coast and southeastern states through Monday evening.
