40-Year Sentence For Man Who Kidnapped Woman To Live Out Fantasy
MIAMI (CBS4) – It was judgment day for a Miramar man accused of kidnapping and trying to sexually assault a woman to "live out his fantasy."
Sayyid Khan plead no contest to the charges.
On Thursday evening, Circuit Judge Matthew Destry sentenced him to 40 years in prison plus 15 years probation.

In chilling detail in a police interrogation video, Sayyid Khan recounted for Pembroke Pines Police detectives the events of April 30th 2013. Investigators say Khan randomly chose a female victim, tailgated his way into her apartment complex and kidnapped her with intentions of sexually assaulting her. He told detectives why he did it in the interrogation video.
"I didn't feel like spending $200 on a hooker," Khan told detectives.
Later, he told them about his victim's efforts to get away.
"She's still resisting," Khan said. "I guess she didn't want to have sex that badly."
On Thursday, the victim told Judge Destry how Khan's actions that day affected her. She said she remains fearful, withdrawn and wondering what life holds for her.
"Not a day does by that I don't think why me?" she told the judge. "He killed my dreams, my hopes, my self-esteem, my self confidence and my trust in the world."
In court, Khan spoke directly to the victim and her family.
"I'm so sorry for the pain that I put you through," Khan said. "I'm sorry that you're still suffering because of what I did. I hope and pray that one day you can live a normal life without being in fear."
His words left the victim shaken.
The judge decided Khan's crimes and his callous description of his actions on this videotape warranted a significant prison term of 40 years removed from society.
"To plan and execute a violent abduction of a young woman in broad daylight, this is the stuff of nightmares," Judge Destry said.
On the night of the attack, Khan reportedly forced the woman into his car at gunpoint. According to his arrest affidavit, the weapon was actually a gas cartridge pellet gun inside a white plastic bag.
The woman's brother saw it happen, was able to get a partial license plate number and called police.
Khan drove to the Kings Manor Mobile Home Park on State Road 84 near Flamingo Road in Davie where he told the woman to put duct tape over her eyes, according to his arrest report. He then attempted to sexually assault her in the back seat. The woman fought back.
At one point, Khan struck the woman in the face with the gun. She was ultimately able to grab the gun and pull the trigger, but it didn't fire. She then escaped and called for help.
"Someone took me out, someone took me," the woman told 9-1-1.
"Somebody kidnapped you," asked the operator.
"Yes, he tried to rape me," replied the woman.
"Somebody tried to rape you," asked the operator.
"Yes and I am scared," said the woman.
A woman who lived in the park comforted her until police arrived.
Surveillance cameras at the woman's apartment complex reportedly captured Khan following her and then leaving the complex after the abduction. Investigators said the woman's brother getting a partial plate number and the video played an instrumental role in tracking down Khan to his Miramar residence. He reportedly confessed to the attack and abduction during questioning.
