John Travolta Faces New Sexual Assault Lawsuit
MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Actor John Travolta is facing a new sexual assault lawsuit from a former Royal Caribbean cruise ship room attendant.
People Magazine reports that Fabian Zanzi filed a federal lawsuit June 21st in Los Angeles. In the suit, he claimed he was delivering food to Travolta's cabin in June 2009 when the actor allegedly forced him to rub his neck, disrobed and pushed against him. Zanzi claimed the 'Pulp Fiction' star then offered him $12,000 as hush money.
Zanzi claimed he reported the incident immediately to a supervisor but that he wasn't allowed "to write down any information regarding the nudity and/or sexual contact," according to the lawsuit.
Zanzi is seeking unspecified damages for assault and battery and emotional distress.
Travolta's camp released a statement denying this ever happened.
They maintain Zanzi is looking for his 15 minutes of fame.
The company said in a statement: "In June 2009, Mr. Zanzi was working as a Room Service Phone Operator onboard Enchantment of the Seas. Mr. Zanzi was not fired by Royal Caribbean, but rather resigned on May 18, 2011."
The claims are the latest in a string of similar lawsuits involving Travolta.
Masseurs in Beverly Hills and Atlanta have retracted their sexual assault charges against the actor.
