Jewelry Store Heist Caught On Camera
NORTH MIAMI BEACH (CBSMiami) – Miami-Dade robbery detectives are searching for two men wanted in a North Miami Beach jewelry store heist and they've released surveillance video of the crime and a person of interest in hopes the public will be able to help solve this crime.
According to police, two men robbed a jewelry store at 1205 NE 163rd Street on February 10th shortly after 10:00 a.m. Both were dressed in all black clothing and both were wearing dark colored motorcycle helmets.
The suspects, armed with a gun and a hammer, ran into the jewelry store at full speed.
While the first suspect held 57-year-old Kyong Yim Park at gunpoint, the other jumped the counter and smashed a display case. They grabbed jewelry worth approximately $250-thousand.
Both men ran away through the mall and are still at large.
Shortly before the crime, a third unidentified man came into the store and asked to see a particular chain in the same display case that the suspect had smashed. The third man, identified as a person of interest, is wanted for questioning only.
