James & Wade Named To All-NBA Teams
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Miami Heat forward LeBron James can add another award to his already full trophy cabinet.
After being named the NBA MVP for the second straight season, LeBron was selected as a member of the 2012-2013 All-NBA First Team Thursday.
But James wasn't the only one receiving recognition from the NBA Thursday. His Heat teammate Dwyane Wade was named to the 2012-2013 All-NBA Third Team. LeBron has been selected to the first team seven times, while wade has been selected All-NBA eight times.
James played in 76 regular season games this year and averaged 26.8 points, 8 rebounds, 7.3 assists, and 1.7 steals per game while shooting 57 percent from the field and 41 percent from behind the three-point line. He also was named player of the month five times in the current NBA season.
James led the heat in points, rebounds, assists, steals, field goals made, free throws made, and minutes in the 2012-2013 season.
Joining James on the All-NBA First Team were: Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant; San Antonio center Tim Duncan; L.A. Lakers guard Kobe Bryant; and L.A. Clippers guard Chris Paul.
Wade played in 69 games and averaged 21.2 points, 5.1 assists, 5 rebounds, and 1.9 steals while shooting 52.1 percent from the field, which was a career-high for the nine-time All-Star guard.
In addition to Wade, the rest of the All-NBA Third Team were: Golden State forward David Lee; Indiana forward Paul George; L.A. Lakers center Dwight Howard; and Houston guard James Harden.
