Jacory Harris Canes' New Starting QB
MIAMI (CBSMiami.com) – Miami Hurricanes quarterback Stephen Morris may have started the first game of the year, but that's about to change.
The Hurricanes released its official depth chart for the September 17th game against the Ohio State Buckeyes and Jacory Harris was listed as the starting quarterback.
Harris was suspended for the opening game of the year by the NCAA for receiving improper benefits from booster Nevin Shapiro.
Morris started against the Terrapins and played well until a costly interception late in the fourth quarter sealed the victory for the Terps.
The move comes just one day after Miami head coach Al Golden said that Harris and Morris would be competing this week to determine who would start the game against the Buckeyes.
Miami is looking to snap a four-game losing streak when the Buckeyes come to Sun Life Stadium. The last time the Hurricanes lost five games in a row was in the 1970's.
