Is It "Tebow Time" In The NFL?
MIAMI (CBS4) - "Beyond Ridiculous" "Tim Tebow pulls off weekly miracle" "Is Tebow God's Quarterback?"
That's a small sampling of today's headline hyperbole.
I jumped on the Tebow bandwagon last year, angry that so-called experts said a kid who won two national championships and the Heisman Trophy wasn't good enough for the N-F-L.
Even though I'm not big on public displays of belief, it also bothered me that Tebow's vociferous critics ridiculed him for wearing religion on his sleeve.
But now, he's transcending football with miracles on the field.
He has taken over a team that was in the cellar to first in its division with come-from-behind wins that defy belief.
Five times he's brought the Broncos back from the dead with fourth quarter or overtime wins, in many cases with improbable plays that leave you shaking your head wondering if you can trust what you just saw.
My son's two teams are the Dolphins and the Bears, but yesterday he was hollering for Tebow, just as he rooted for Tim Tremendous against the Dolphins.
He sure wasn't the only one.
It's time to get on the bandwagon and enjoy the ride.
