Police Investigating Person In Connection To School Bomb Threats
PEMBROKE PINES (CBSMiami) - The Pembroke Pines Police Department is investigating an individual in connection with a series of disruptive bomb threats at a middle school and a high school over the past few months.
According to a Pembroke Pines Police search warrant, there have been multiple bomb threats at Silver Trail Middle School in Pembroke Pines since last spring, including two in the beginning of this school year.

There was at least one bomb threat at West Broward High School in Pembroke Pines earlier this month, according to the warrant. No one has been harmed in connection with the threats.
The warrant revealed police have focused their investigation on someone living in a South Broward home.
Police said they recovered more than a dozen cell phones and other computer equipment when they searched the home on September 10th. No bomb-making materials were recovered, according to the warrant.
Some of the emails sent to the schools conveying the threats were also in the search warrant. One read, in part, "Tomorrow in the day I'm going to blow up the school ok."
The threats were serious enough that Broward school officials and the Pembroke Pines Police Department held a meeting earlier this month to discuss the threats of violence with parents and as an attempt to put the community at ease.
The people who live at the South Broward home reportedly believed their computer had been hacked.
The parents of a teen living at the home told police "their 15 year old son rejected romantic overtures from a girl and she responded by telling him that she would hack into his accounts to punish him." But the search warrant showed the "suspect's computer was taken from him" and "FBI experts opined that the computer had not been hacked."
Pembroke Pines police would not comment directly on the investigation other than saying the investigation continues and no one has been arrested at this point.
Multiple police and investigative agencies are pursuing this case. The search warrant indicated that police have looked into charges of false reports about planted bombs, explosives or weapons of mass destruction.
The Broward County School District told CBS4 News that since their meeting on September 8th there have not been any more bomb threats at the aforementioned schools.
