Hundreds Of Inbound And Outbound Flights Cancelled By Isaac
MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Some travelers had to spend a little more time in South Florida than they bargained for thanks to the arrival of Tropical Storm Isaac.
More than 550 flights into and out of Miami International Airport were canceled on Sunday. More than 160 flights into an out of Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport were also canceled and about 30 flights delayed.
United Express has canceled all flights to Key West for Sunday & Monday.
The majority of flights canceled at Miami International Airport have been American Airlines and American Eagle flights.
Fort Lauderdale International's Greg Meyer said there is significant road construction near the airport and travelers should allow additional travel time in and out of the airport.
