Leave no doubt that from the first time he played at the varsity level, Mackey was someone who turned heads with his knowledge of the game and ability to read plays. He is fearless and hits like a truck, but the best part of his game is also being a skilled athlete who not only lays out the punishment, but also knows how to cover. With so many impressive receivers the Tornadoes have had in his years at the school, he has been able to learn and improve his overall game by competing against the likes of Antonio Calloway, Mark Walton and so many other players who have left a mark. Mackey was a big-time player from the beginning - and nothing looks like it will be changing anytime soon as colleges continue to watch everything he does.
