In The Huddle: James Jackson IV - Gulliver Prep
PLAYER: James Jackson IV
POSITION: RB/OLB
SCHOOL: Miami Gulliver Prep
CLASS: 2018
HEIGHT: 5-11
WEIGHT: 186
SCOUTING: This is a quality way under the radar prospect who has been playing at this level since the 8th grade. As he heads toward his junior season, there is plenty to be optimistic about as Jackson will be looked upon to make a huge impact on this very young team. From his days at Ransom Everglades to now, we have watched his maturity, growth and better understanding of the game as he has shown on both sides of the ball. While Jackson is a solid runner on offense - tough to bring down on the first hit - it's defense where college coaches are starting to watch. His ability to read plays and initiate tackles is what everyone loves about his game. He missed a few weeks early in the summer with some dental issues, he is now back and will be doing what it takes to keep his name in the spotlight. Jackson is a very intelligent young man who continues to get better on the football field, which will add up to a lot of positives in the fall.
