"I Do" Redux At Homestead's Coral Castle
HOMESTEAD (CBS4) -- Valentine's Day is all about love and sometimes marriage so if you and your loved one are in the mood for an "I do" redo, just head to South Florida's famous Coral Castle which is hosting vow renewals on this Valentine's Day.
Couples can renew their vows under a beautiful flowered arch with a bouquet of roses. It's a romantic moment under the beautiful South Florida sunshine or under the stars because the vow renewals take place from Noon to 9:00 p.m. with the price of admission. They'll have notaries on hand to assist with the honors.
The mysterious Coral Castle was built by a reclusive Latvian immigrant as a tribute to love. Edward Leedskalnin built the amazing complex after being jilted by his 16-year-old sweetheart on their wedding day. He single-handedly carved, sculpted and moved more than than 1,100 tons of coral rock to create the castle currently known as one of the world's most mysterious accomplishments. He began his work in 1920 and continued until his death in 1951. To this day, nobody knows how he did it. When asked why he did it, he would answer, for his "Sweet Sixteen."
