I-75 Temporarily Shutdown After Accident
MIRAMAR (CBSMiami) – A traffic nightmare in Broward County came about Wednesday after a car hit an 18-wheeler just south of Miramar Parkway on I-75.
All northbound lanes of I-75 were temporarily closed as workers tried to clean up the mess that was left on the road after the crash. A silver 4-door vehicle took the brunt of the crash, but the fuel tank on the big rig was broken open and had roughly 100 gallons of fuel which leaked onto the road.
The driver of the car was transported to Memorial Regional Miramar with minor injuries.
As a result of the blocked lanes, traffic was diverted to eastbound Miramar Parkway. Two lanes of traffic on I-75 were opened by noon.
