Man Wanted In Miami Beach Woman's Murder Found Dead

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The search is over for a man wanted in connection to the murder of his wife in a Miami Beach apartment.
On Tuesday morning, police put out a wanted poster for 36-year old Samir Jemaaoui on a charge of second degree murder. Hours later they posted the following to the Twitter account:

Jemaaoui jumped to his death from one of the upper floors of The Grand building at 1717 N. Bayshore Drive, according to Miami Beach Police.
"I heard a thud and I went out of my door. I live up on the 33rd floor and I saw his body on the 10th floor," said Lovette Aragon told CBS4's Peter D'Oench, "This was gross. It was gross. It's not something you wake up every morning and want to see. It was sad."
On Monday night, around 7 p.m., Miami Beach Police received a 911 call from security personnel at the Flamingo Towers, located at 1500 Bay Road.
"The children are the ones that alerted security personnel that their mother was assaulted in their apartment," said Miami Beach officer Ernesto Rodriquez.
When police arrived they found the body of 31-year old Ines Marx, police have not said how she died.
Her two children, ages 4 and 6, were turned over the Department of Children and Families (DCF).
On Tuesday afternoon Juvenile Court Judge Alan Fine placed the kids in protective custody and was ready to issue a stay away order for Jemaaoui until he heard the news.
"We just, actually have heard that he committed suicide, that's my understanding," a court clerk said.
No family members showed up a temporary shelter hearing so the children will remain with DCF for now. Another hearing has been set for February 23rd.
Records show Jemaaoui has gotten violent with his wife in the past. Last year he was arrested in July and December for battery, in both cases his wife got a stay away order.
In a July police report, Marx told police she was very afraid of Jemaaoui and said he abused her "all the time." She said he told her that if she called police, he would "call immigration" about her because she had no papers.
Monday night's death marked the second murder at the apartment complex in the last six months.
On August 14th, 2015, a man was shot and killed in the Flamingo Towers skyway.
