Husband Of Pines Woman Fatally Shot In Home Pleads For Information
MIAMI (CBS4) - The husband of a Pembroke Pines woman gunned down in her own home a week ago is making a plea to help find her killer.
"She was devoted to her family," says David McNamara, about his late wife Linda.
It was on June 15th, just after 12:30 in the morning that Linda McNamara, 61, heard gunshots and got up from bed at their home in the 8600 block of SW 14th Street in a community known as Honeywoods.
McNamara was hit with a hail of bullets and later died at the hospital.
Pembroke Pines police have just released surveillance video that shows a four door vehicle, light in color passing the McNamara property several times at the time of the shooting. Police hope someone will provide information on that vehicle.
"Like any father or husband I would like to see the person responsible own up to what they did. This is a tragedy. She was not supposed to die," says David McNamara.
Pembroke Pines Police say they don't believe Linda McNamara was the intended target.
David McNamara says he met his wife of more than thirty years in Michigan while he was stationed there in the Coast Guard. They have two grown children. He says their son is a paramedic firefighter for the Broward Sheriff's Office and that BSO has been extremely supportive during his family's intense time of grief.
