Hurricanes To Face Stetson In Super Regional Opener

CORAL GABLES (CBSMiami) – On Sunday the Miami Hurricanes baseball team extended its NCAA record by reaching a 44th straight postseason tournament.
On Monday, the Hurricanes found out who they would be facing in the Coral Gables and Oxford super regional bracket.
Miami will host Stetson on Friday at 7 p.m. at Alex Rodriguez Park's Mark Light Field in Coral Gables. The winner of that game will face the winner of Florida Atlantic-Long Beach State, who face each other on Friday at 1 p.m.
The Oxford side of the bracket features Ole Miss, Utah, Boston College and Tulane.
The winner of each bracket will face off in a best-of-three series beginning on June 10th.
As for the Hurricanes' impressive accomplishment, the 44 consecutive postseason appearances isn't just a baseball record. It's the longest active NCAA postseason streak for any collegiate sport.
Miami earned the number three seed in the tournament following an impressive 45-11 record this season.
