Hurricanes Dismiss Offensive Lineman Taylor Gadbois From Team

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – In a surprising move, the Miami Hurricanes have dismissed offensive lineman Taylor Gadbois from the football team.
The move was announced by Hurricanes head coach Al Golden on Thursday.
"Taylor is a bright young man, and we wish him the best in his future academic and athletic endeavors," Golden said during a brief press conference.
Gadbois was very surprised when Golden informed him that his scholarship was being revoked and that he was no longer welcome on the team.
The 6-foot-8, 320 pound redshirt junior was expected to compete for a spot on the starting offensive line but reports have indicated that he was possibly going to be suspended for the first five games of the 2015 season, though no reason has been known.
Gadbois started five games for Miami in 2014 before suffering a season-ending injury.
After losing three multi-year starters in the 2015 NFL Draft, Ereck Flowers, Shane McDermott and Jon Feliciano, the Hurricanes now face an even bigger task in rebuilding the offensive line.
Gadbois has said that playing for the University of Miami was a childhood dream. He was in his last semester but now without a scholarship he can't afford to finish school.
Coming out of high school Gadbois was ranked the 53rd best offensive lineman in the country by Scout.com.
