Hundreds Protest Outside Biden's Meeting With Jewish Community

DAVIE (CBSMiami) --Hundreds of protesters greeted Vice President Joe Biden as he arrived at the Jewish Community Center in Davie to discuss the nuclear deal with Iran.
As ther vice president met to discuss the deal with Jewish community leaders, those outside of the center were protesting it.
All this as the Obama administration, on Wednesday, got enough votes to make sure the deal survives in Congress.
Those chanting outside could be heard saying, "We welcome the Vice President to Florida but we don't welcome the deal."
The protesters felt the controversial deal by the United States and Iran which in part will keep an atomic bomb out of the Iranian hands for more than a decade will do the opposite.
"Iran cannot be trusted to keep this deal. Iran has broken every agreement it ever made. Why do we think it is going to be any different," said protester Kenneth Bricker.
"It boggles my mind that this has nothing to do with common sense, that we're setting ourselves on the side of the table with our enemies instead of standing alongside our true friends, our allies that stand for democracy and freedom like Israel and the Middle East," said Sgt. Brian Mast Staff, a U.S. Army veteran.
Mast lost both of his legs and a finger in Afghanistan. He said it is his personal mission to be heard.
"Iran has been implicit in burning some of my fellow U.S. service members alive in the armored vehicles that were penetrated by the explosive, projectiles provided to the battlefield," said Mast.
Those in attendance held up signs saying things like "We need a better deal," "#BadIranDeal," and "Congress Vote No On #BadIranDeal," among other things.
Their goal is for the vice president to take their message to Washington and have them reconsider the deal.
Meanwhile, the vice president was inside the center with community leaders including U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz.
"We just want to tell Vice President Biden and Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, it's never too late to do the right thing," said Mast.

As part of the Iran Nuclear Deal, the United States along with five other world powers will limit Iran's nuclear capacity in exchange for hundreds of billions of dollars in relief from international sanctions.
The deal has not gone without opposition from Republicans and Israeli officials who say concessions made to Iran could wreak havoc throughout the Middle East.
"He needs to reconsider the deal. It is not good for anyone. We would rather it stop before it even starts," said protester Max Agronin.
