HOLLYWOOD (CBSMiami) - A Hollywood man accused of rape made it easy for police to identify him as their one and only suspect.
He left his wallet behind at the scene of the crime, according to police.
The victim police she was on the phone with a friend, and walking to her car in the 800-block of Tyler Street, when she suddenly realized someone was following her. She was able to tell her friend before the man came up behind her and put a knife to her throat.
The man, later identified as 25-year-old Cristian Londono Castro, forced her behind a bush at a home on the street and ordered her to take her pants off, according to his arrest report. He then reportedly forced her further into the yard, put the knife to her face and made her perform oral sex on him.
He then forced her to pull her pants down and he sexually battered her, according to police. When he went to change positions, he reportedly fell down which gave her a chance to make a run for it. She did.
She ran to nearby home where two teenage sisters let her in and called for help.
"She looked like she really needed help," said one of the sisters, who did not want to be identified. "She was crying. She was in shock."
According to the police report, the victim had several superficial knife wounds on her stomach and arm, was disheveled and had her pants pulled down.
"We locked all the doors, made sure that no one was behind her, no one was coming after the house or anything," said the teenager. "We were scared and the cops were here all night and we kept checking to see if they had caught him yet or anything."
Police say when the alleged victim went back to where she was assaulted to get her keys, she found her alleged attacker's wallet complete with a state-issued ID.
Londono Castro was picked up less than two hours later and was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and sexual assault with a weapon.
