Heat's Three Kings To Grand Marshal Three Kings Parade
LITTLE HAVANA (CBSMiami) – The kings of the Miami Heat will be taking part in the Three Kings Parade.
CBS 4 news partner the Miami Herald reported that Univision Radio, the parade's sponsor, announced on Wednesday that LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh will be parade Grand Marshals together.
It will be the first time the three will be in the parade since they won the NBA Championship and adopted their royal trio moniker.
"We are thrilled with this opportunity to honor LeBron, Dwyane and Chris...," said Claudia Puig, senior vice president of Univision Radio, the leading radio network serving Hispanic America.
The Three Kings Day Parade has been a South Florida tradition for four decades. In Latin culture, the Three Kings bring toys to children.
The 43rd Parada de los Reyes Magos will take place at noon on Jan. 20 in the heart of Little Havana, along Southwest Eighth Street, between Fourth and 17th avenues.
The parade will also feature giant balloons, live animals, marching bands and many of South Floridians favorite radio and television stars who will make their appearance on colorful floats.
For the Heat it's a chance to thank their Hispanic fans. "The Miami Heat has established deep roots in Miami's Hispanic community over the course of its 25 years," said Eric Woolworth, president of The HEAT Group's business operations.
