Heat To Host Free Road Rallies For Games 3, 4 At Arena
MIAMI (CBS4)-Dallas has done its part Thursday night in the finals by winning game two, but Miami now gets its chance to answer. To keep the hype going, the Miami HEAT will host an official watch party, the Miami HEAT White Hot Road Rally, at AmericanAirlines Arena for the next two games.
The rallies will be held on Sunday and Tuesday, June 7th when the HEAT travels to Dallas to take on the Mavericks for Games 3 and 4 of the 2011 NBA Finals.
Doors will open at 7 p.m. on Sunday and 8 p.m. on Tuesday. While the event is free and open to the public, fans wishing to attend will be required to register for a free ticket by logging onto HEAT.com and clicking on the "Road Rally Ticket" icon.
Once the registration process has been completed, fans will be instructed to print out their confirmation ticket and will be required to bring that ticket to the AmericanAirlines Arena to enter the Road Rallies.
Only one ticket per person, per registration will be allowed for each Road Rally. It's important to register. That's because only those fans who register online for a free ticket will be granted admission to the Arena property and the event, according to DeAndre Phillips of the Miami Heat.
The first 2,000 fans to arrive at each Road Rally will receive a free White Hot HEAT t-shirt, courtesy of FedEx.
If you've attended the game you'll know that parking is also a priority. During the rallies, parking will be available in the Arena's P2 parking garage for $5 per car and will be available on a first come, first served basis.
Select concession stands will be open for business. Bacardi, the official sponsor of the event, will be offering drink specials throughout the evening at select locations on the concourses.
Fans know that getting decked out in full Miami-style is what completes the event. To meet the increased demand for Miami HEAT merchandise, the Miami Hoops Gear store will offer extended store hours over the weekend: on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The store will then reopen Sunday at 7:00 p.m. for the Game 3 Road Rally.
Get ready to party at the event as the HEAT will provide entertainment, including performances by the HEAT Dancers, the Miami HEAT Rhythm Section, HEAT mascot Burnie and the Xtreme Team.
