Heat Take Out Clippers In Beijing, 94-80
BEIJING (CBSMiami) – The Miami Heat were on the court at the crack of dawn Miami time, but in prime time in Beijing where they took on the Los Angeles Clippers in an exhibition game.
The Heat appeared to be in midseason form, knocking off the talented, but still young Clippers, 94-80. Miami jumped out to an 18 point lead at halftime and never looked back in the second half.
LeBron James led all Heat players with 20 points in just more than 26 minutes of action. Chris Bosh added 10 points. Norris Cole got the start at point guard and responded with 11 points and Ray Allen came off the bench and hit 4-8 3-pointers en route to 15 points in the game.
Joel Anthony, Mario Chalmers, Udonis Haslem, Mike Miller, and James Jones didn't play in the game for the Heat.
For the Clippers, power forward Blake Griffin led the team in scoring with 19 points and eight rebounds against the Heat. Jamal Crawford chipped in 16 points and the only other Clippers player in double figures was forward Caron Butler.
Clippers center DeAndre Jordan played more than 26 minutes in the game and went to the free throw line 10 times. Jordan managed to hit just one of his 10 free throw shots in the game.
Overall, the Heat shot 40 percent from the field, 48 percent from behind the three-point line, and 81 percent from the free throw line. The Heat were outrebounded in the game 52-34 by the Clippers.
