MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The Miami Heat's rotation looks quite different now than it did at the beginning of the season.
Several key players that get meaningful minutes weren't even on the roster early on, such as Hassan Whiteside and Henry Walker, who were afterthoughts to the majority of the NBA.
Another one of those late-addition players that has been getting plenty of minutes is Michael Beasley.
Beasley was signed to a 10-day contract after having a very successful season in China and instantly infused offense into the Heat.
After signing his second 10-day contract in early March, Beasley continued to provide solid play for Erik Spoelstra's unit.
Now, the Heat are happy to keep Beasley around for the rest of the year.
The team announced on Wednesday that they have signed Beasley for the remainder of the season.
So far this year Beasley has appeared in 10 games for Miami, averaging 9.5 points and 3.9 rebounds in 22.9 minutes per game while shooting 42.4 percent from the field.
While his defense is still subpar, it appears that Beasley's work ethic and attitude towards the game has greatly improved from his previous campaigns with the Heat.
