Heat Look For Revenge Against Bucks
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The Miami Heat will wind up a solid month of January Wednesday night with a game at the Milwaukee Bucks. For the Heat, they have managed to stay at the top while Dwyane Wade missed multiple games this month.
The Heat was able to pull this off thanks to the incredible play of forward LeBron James.
LeBron has put up most valuable player-like numbers this season, while leading the Heat to a 16-5 record through the first full month of the season.
LeBron is averaging 29 points, 8.3 rebounds, 7.1 assists, and 1.8 steals per game this season.
He's doing this while playing few minutes on average than he did last season, thanks to the Heat having a much deeper bench.
LeBron has also improved his field goal percentage this season. James is shooting 55 percent from the field this season and 41 percent from behind the 3-point line.
The only area James needs to improve is from the free throw line where he's shooting 75 percent.
The Heat have also benefitted from the improved play of power forward Chris Bosh.
The 6'11" Bosh has put up just fewer than 21 points per game, to go along with 7.8 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal.
But what will really become the catalyst to pushing the Heat to even greater heights will be Dwyane Wade shaking off all the rust.
He missed multiple games due to a sprained ankle and a foot injury, but has returned the last few games to help give the Heat's offense a spark.
The Heat will be looking for revenge in Milwaukee Wednesday night as the Bucks are the only team in the last two weeks to beat the Heat.
Milwaukee upset the Heat on January 22 at the AmericanAirlines Arena, 91-82.
