Heat Lose To 76ers In Last-Minute Game 4 Nail Biter

PHILADELPHIA (CBS4/AP) – The Miami Heat were trying to complete a four-game sweep as they took on the 76ers in Philadelphia in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals.

But the final score gave the 76ers the lead they needed to win.

Lou Williams hit a 3-pointer with 8.1 seconds left to lead the Philadelphia 76ers to an 86-82 win over the Miami Heat on Sunday and avoid a sweep.

The Heat were 95 seconds away from winning Game 4, holding an 82-76 lead.

LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and the rest of the Heat didn't score again.

Jrue Holiday made a 3 with 46.6 seconds left that sliced the deficit to one. Williams followed with a 3 from the top of the arc for an 84-82 lead that sent the nearly 20,000 fans into a frenzy.

Game 5 is Wednesday in Miami. Tickets go on sale Monday at 6 p.m. and may be purchased through Ticketmaster.com, Heat.com or by calling 1-800-4NBA-TIX.

The Heat were down 39-25 early in the second quarter and then went on scoring surge, led by Dwyane Wade with 12 points, to come within the one point lead.  At the half, Wade was the team's top scorer with 17, LeBron James had 13 and Mario Chalmers had 9 points. By half time, the score was close.

"We don't look ahead," LeBron James said after Saurday's practice. "No one on this team looks ahead. This series isn't over yet. We got Philly to worry about. If we get to Boston, whenever that happens, then we'll get ready to take care of business, but I'm not looking ahead to those guys because we still have to finish what we started."

The Celtics also have a 3-0 lead in their first-round series against the New York Knicks. No team in NBA history has ever come back from such a deficit to win the series.

The Heat-Celtics matchup everyone has been waiting for — James, Wade, Chris Bosh and the Heat vs. Boston's Big Three plus Rajon Rondo — is almost a reality.

"It wouldn't be right if Miami and Boston didn't meet in the playoffs," Wade said. "Everyone is expecting that, but we both have to finish our business."
