Heat Fans Ready For The Playoffs

MIAMI (CBS4) - The AmericanAirlines Arena was white hot Saturday as the Heat blazed over the New York Knicks.

Fans anxious for a good show got what they paid for during the first playoff game of the season.

"It's pretty fantastic," said Joe Squillace, a fan sitting front row. "It's once in a lifetime."

Dana Gone had to muffle her cheers. Her baby daughter slept through the game as the Heat swept the Knicks.

"All the other games she never fell asleep," she joked. "This time she fell asleep on the playoff game."

As the Heats success on the court steamrolled into the stands many began to predict a run all the way to the championship.

"We're going all the way this year," said Andy Holzman, a fan. "We look great the Knicks aren't half as talented as we are."

It is a prophecy Dean Feabers agreed with as he watched the game. "I think our prospects are great," he said. "Our team is rested, our team is healthy and I think we got the best talent in the NBA."

The Heat will hit the hardwood at home again on Monday against the Knicks.
