Heat Fans Psyched About 2nd Possible NBA Championship
MIAMI (CBS4) - The Miami Heat fan frenzy is in high gear as their team is on the brink of winning it all.
"Seriously, I doubt they won't close it here at home with the momentum we've got," said Heat Fan Pablo Vazquez.
Dozens of Heat fans flooded the phone lines at 790 The Ticket/WAXY.
"How can you doubt this team," asked a caller, who identified himself as 'Pompano Willie'.
"I'm just so happy to be on the verge, especially for James to get that ring," agreed another caller, Kenny.
Host Jason Jackson applauded Heat fans for their involvement and their knowledge of the game.
"The Heat fan has grown up right in front of our eyes," Jackson said. "Last night they were just mature. They knew when to cheer and elevate the team, and I'm sure the engineers are checking the roof now because it got blown off several times due to the excitement!"
The excitement could be seen all over Heat fans' faces, and in Kyle Snook's case, across his chest underneath his work clothes where he donned his Heat shirt proudly.
"It's a wrap," said Snook. "See you next year [OKC fans]! Next year will be a rematch!"
Thursday's game, kicks off at 9 p.m. at the AmericanAirlines Arena.
