MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- The verdict is in for a man accused in a number of rape cases in Miami.
On Thursday, a jury found Terrence Jefferson guilty of false imprisonment, unlawful possession of firearm and attempted sexual battery.
Just a day before Jefferson took the stand in his own defense - for one of the cases.
Police said he went on a brutal crime spree, starting with an attack against a young woman who testified she was just looking for a ride home on a stormy night.
Jefferson said he did not try to kidnap and rape the woman at gunpoint in December 2013. Instead, he said, he'd given the woman $134 for sex, before she started acting wild.
The state refuted the six-time ex-con's story saying Jefferson had been released from prison just before three separate attacks in December 2013.
A few days after the first incident, Miami Police said Jefferson beat and raped another woman at gunpoint in her own car.
They said the next day he confronted two little girls, ages 9 and 13, pointing a gun at them and ordering them to get in his car. They got away but were able to grab his license plate, leading police to him.
