"Gray Thursday" Store Hours Ahead Of Black Friday
MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving when, traditionally, all holiday shopping bedlam breaks out as shoppers take advantage of super deals designed to kick start the holiday retail season promises to be just as bedlam-filled this year.
In some places, since stores are actually opening on Thanksgiving, it's being called "Gray Thursday."
Here's a list of just some of the stores opening on Thanksgiving to help shoppers get a jump start on their holiday wish lists.
Retail Chains:
Doors open at 6 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day and close at 11:00 p.m. on Friday. Kmart is the first store to open its doors on Turkey day.
Open Thanksgiving Day, 6 p.m. to midnight.
First round of discounts is from 6 to 8 p.m. and another round is from 8 p.m. to midnight.
This year, 21 items will be available under the store's one-hour guarantee offer, where certain items are guaranteed available to shoppers, either on the day itself or before Christmas. Wal-Mart also says it will give customers wristbands before 6 p.m. to reserve some products. Shoppers can come back to the store when the deals begin to pick up their items.
Black Friday sales begin at 8 a.m. on Friday.
Doors open at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day and stay open until 11:00 p.m. Friday.
Macy's opens at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day for the first time in its history. Most stores stay open until 10 p.m. Friday.
Opens at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day and closes at 10 p.m. Friday.

Many stores open at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day and will remain open until 10 p.m. on Black Friday.
