Gov. Scott Makes His Case For Another Term
ORLANDO (CBSMiami/AP) — Gov. Rick Scott is hanging his hat on Florida's improving economy as he looks toward next year's election.
Scott, who will seek his second term in 2014, told party activists Saturday that unemployment has dropped and the housing market has improved since he took office.
Scott said he has made the state more business friendly by lowering taxes and getting rid of regulations.
Party activists also re-elected Lenny Curry as the state GOP chairman.
