DORAL (CBSMiami) -- It was a special moment in Doral on Friday as golf icon Jack Nicklaus and the one and only Donald Trump unveiled brand new villas at the Trump National National Golf Club.
"We are so honored to have Jack. Everybody knows he is the greatest player in the history of golf but he is also a great golf architect and a great person," said Trump.
The golf legend was present for the ribbon cutting ceremony of his namesake villa. It is one of eight brand new deluxe guestroom villas all named after the greatest golfers in the history of golf.
"When Donald asked me if I would honor them with my name on a villa, I said 'no you're honoring me' and I appreciate that very much," said Nicklaus.
The ultra-luxurious Jack Nicklaus villa is the largest on the property with 172 guest rooms and suites all designed by Ivanka Trump.
"We really wanted to bring everything to the highest level and set a new precedent. It is a great celebration for us," said Trump.
The Jack Nicklaus villa is part of the $250 million renovation to Trump National Doral.
Each villa is filled rare photos and memento highlighting the champion's career who was a two time winner at Doral and finished runner up five times.
"The golf magazines, everybody saying it's one of the greatest places of the world," said Trump, something he considers a huge honor.
The celebration doesn't end there.
The first week of March the 75 best players in the world will descend to the Trump National in Doral for the Cadillac Championship. It's an event where there will be a little something for everyone not only for golf lovers but fashionistas and music lovers alike.
