MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- The 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards proved that diamonds truly are a girl's best friend.
From J-Law to JLo and everyone in between, ice is back and bigger than ever.
Top trends at the show began with skin.
Best actress winner Brie Larson channeled an actual globe trophy in a gold Calvin Klein cut- out dress showing off her amazing abs.

While Jennifer Lawrence was jaw-dropping stunning in a regal red Christian Dior. Lawrence was certainly one of the top stunners of the night in a modern but old Hollywood-glam dress with a waist dropping overlay and the most amazing Chopard diamond collar.
There's no denying Kate Hudson's killer body, but the cut-out, nude Michael Kors dress did nothing for her and seemed way to casual for such a big awards show.
White also wowed on the carpet.
Globe winner Taraji P. Henson stood out in the stylish Stella McCartney column dress as did actress Alicia Vikander in this beautiful bib colored Louis Vuitton couture gown.
Frocks were feminine as well.
Cate Blanchett solidified her status as a style icon in a pink-fringed Givenchy, while Rooney Mara looked elegant and edgy in a Victorian-style blush Alexander McQueen.
Where pink paled, was Katy Perry's lackluster Prada gown and a bump it hairstyle that seemed out of date.
Eva Longoria and America Ferrera enjoyed one of the funniest moments on the broadcast. Longoria looked springtime fresh in a floral embroidered gown while Ferrera was all sunshine in a yellow Jenny Packham gown.
A breakout in blue was Julianne Moore in a show-stopping sequined Tom Ford while the best in black was Kirsten Dunst in a va-va-voom, low-cut Valentino.

Lady Gaga looked elegant but not especially exciting in a seen-it-before black velvet Versace dress.
In the always ageless and awesome category, Helen Mirren sported a plunging black Badgley Mischka with a show-stopping necklace by Harry Winston.
Jane Fonda was also ageless but her over ruffled bib-style Yves Saint Laurent overpowered her.
When it came to the men, dapper was the word from Brad and Ryan to Matt Damon, Jamie Foxx and Leo.
The bad hair award went to Channing Tatum with a strange overgrown side bang, while Jonah Hill chose bear wear on stage as the beast from 'The Revenant.'
The only tuxedo mishap was David Oyelowo wearing purple - a bad color that just didn't work!
All in the all, plenty of red-hot looks in all shapes and sizes were at this year's Golden Globe Awards.
The pick of the night for CBS4's Lisa Petrillo was Jennifer Lopez proving she is "marvelous in marigold." She owned it all in an incredibly chic and different Giambattista Valli gown, crowning JLo, for Petrillo, Queen of the Night.
