MIAMI (CBSMiami) - A day after the Jacksonville debate versus Democrat Charlie Crist, Gov. Rick Scott was back on the campaign trail with a big name politician at his side.

Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani joined the incumbent governor at a Miami eatery on Wednesday.

As part of the "Get Out The Early Vote Bus Tour," Scott visited Doral pizzeria Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza and then was joined by Giuliani at 2:15 p.m. at Miami pastry shop Ankarr European Pastry Shop .

Giuliani had his own thoughts about the election.

"I'd have to put Scott right at the top. He's done a great job for Florida and why the heck would you want to go back to the mess that Charlie Crist left behind," said Giuliani.

The newest poll by Quinnipiac University revealed Scott and Crist are deadlocked. Both received 42 percent of the vote, while Libertarian candidate Adrian Wyllie received 7 percent.

At a virtually neck and neck campaign, he said Republicans risk losing if they stay home.

"It's early voting. Historically, Republicans didn't get out in early voting. Only 23 percent of the early voting that was done in Dade county two years ago were Republican. We've got to get our votes out," said Scott.

Scott wooed the Hispanic vote on Wednesday amid chants of "four more years" in Spanish.

Polls show Scott on the wrong side of almost every issue among Hispanic voters but he says he's the governor for Floridians of every cloth.

"It's a dream for their family. They want a job. I grew up with a family who didn't have jobs. They want to make sure their kids grow up with a great education so they have a shot to get out of poverty like I did... do whatever they want," said Scott. "That's what this election is about."

With the election 13 days away, the campaign is on its last leg.
