Girl Hurt In Crash With County Bus

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - A young girl was taken to the hospital after the SUV she was in was involved in an accident with a Miami-Dade County transit bus.
The accident happened just after 8:30 a.m. The bus was heading west on 62nd Street when it collided with a Mercedes SUV at the intersection of NW 17th Avenue. On impact, the SUV spun out of control and slammed into a pick up truck.

Miami firefighters found a mother, her 8-year old daughter and infant baby inside the SUV. The child, who was not properly restrained, suffered facial injuries and was taken to Ryder Trauma Center in stable condition. The mother and infant, who were properly restrained, were also taken with the child to the hospital to be evaluated.
The bus driver had minor bruising to the legs and was treated on scene. A female passenger, on the bus, was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
The driver and passenger of the pickup were not injured.
